Clinic Patient Management System

Objective
Our acupuncture client (with two clinic offices) had its patient information in paper files and scheduling in Microsoft Outlook. Each clinic had 4 acupuncturists and 2 part-time administrative staff. With increasing number of patients, they felt very labor-intensive to handle patient accounts such as patient treatments, payments, balance, and referrals etc. It was also hard for their administrative staff to schedule patients with their doctors within the same Outlook.

When BluefinSoft talked to the client, we felt the client dilemma. We worked with the client to analyze their daily business activities and identify its business requirements. We together decided to build a dynamic web system which provided functionalities in patient account and insurance management, doctor schedules, patient appointments, patient treatments, and account receivable etc.

Our role
We worked with the client closely at every stage of development. A prototype was provided for the initial client feedback and approval. Our team comprised of project manager, designer, developers, and quality engineers. The development and testing work was done in China. The client feedback was promptly incorporated in each small iteration by adopting Agile development process and our project/change control management standards.
